If you didn’t already know Kanye West aka ‘Pablo’ announced earlier this week that he’ll be launching 21 weekend pop-up locations for ‘The Life of Pablo’ merchandise. Luckily my insomnia and addiction to check my social media the moment I wake up gave me the opportunity to be one of hundreds in line, so here’s how to survive this weekend’s pop-up.
Step One: Be prepared
Clear your schedule for the day, because you won’t be going anywhere for at least 6 hours and furthermore know what you would like to buy. Short sleeve tees go for $55, long sleeve tees are $75, hoodies are $105, bomber jackets are $250, and hats are $45. Also be sure to bring your phone cord, earphones, snacks, and some extra money just in case you eat your snacks.
Step Two: Do as the church says and “Come as you are.” (YES LAWD)
Leave the heels, Chelsea boots, and tight pants at home. More than likely you’ll be waking up at the crack of dawn just to get a decent spot in line, so there’s no need to be iced out in your dopest gear. Your look should be simple and casual, you can never go wrong with a t-shirt and a pair of lounge shorts like these for $18 from H&M.
Step Three: Make friends
Whether you go with friends or not meet some new people. You all can complain together about how long the wait is, and who doesn’t love complaining in groups? It makes everything feel better–knowing there’s someone struggling just as much as you are.
Step Four: Have fun!
Last but certainly not least, just have fun! You’ve waited for hours, your feet hurt, you’re tired and hungry, but now you can enjoy the experience of being in the pop-up shop and buying your favorite ‘Pablo’ merchandise.
The Dallas ‘Pablo’ pop-up shop is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The pop-up shop is located in Frisco, TX at Stonebriar Mall.
